My second trip took me to Mashad. Capital city of Khorason provinc, located northeast of Iran about 700 Km from Tehran.
In Mashad Pigeon fanciers raise and train thier birds primarily for colors and catching other fancier's birds, typical hobby of people outside Tehran.
In Mashad I met several fanciers who kept birds with unique markings. I met Mr. Kermani, a relative of a good friend who lives in Vancouver as well. I also met a Fancier by the name of Mr. Khorasani who kept over 300 birds with some of the best colors and markings I have ever seen. In his place I saw Silver and Almond Sineh, as well as Kaleh in Jozi witch is a pure white bird except just the head in Silver/grizzle with fine crest. But the most breathtaking and unbelievable of all were the self Black birds with white ring around the neck. He also had those in red.
